Guess I'll go ahead and get this started.... Any and all other Appy breeders out there, feel free to make a post including your ranch name and number, breeding goals, stallions and mares available for stud/brood, and anything else you see fit! For the record: I'm LongLiveQueequeg, residing at Abduction Alley Ranch (#277). I am currently working on breeding good-quality purebred (Appy x Appy or Appy x LS only) Appaloosas with stats appropriate for Western and Rodeo competition. I'm focusing on working cow sense (and, to a lesser extent, other special traits) into my herd, as well as breeding for the dun gene (Coyote Duns and Grullas in particular). I'm also attempting to incorporate the silver and roan genes, and of course am breeding for the leopard complex genes, while trying to minimize paint patterns and pintaloosas. All of my stallions have frozen semen available, with the exception of my sole gelding--don't hesitate to request straws if you don't see any currently on the market. I am always happy to do trades! I also frequently have foals for sale, usually because they don't fit my breeding program for one reason or another. Check out my ranch (and feel free to drop a line any time!): www.equine-ranch.com/ranchinfo.php?ranchid=277

Hiya, I'm also an appy breeder at ranch 69818. I am introducing TB and QH blood into my horses to get stats for Three Day Eventing and Endurance, trying for Heart and Presence, and then aiming back to pure appy blood again and re-eslablishing colours. lol. Quite a task.
Good luck with your goals longlivequeequeg

here we go I moved it to this... anyway I raise Appys (along with Tiger Horses) on 8285. I aim for Appy/Appy (also called DM pure) or Appy/LS breedings. Rodeo/endurance/western Spots of course...just no pinto spots. Love the blacks, darker bays and darker chestnuts....and roan varients of those. And the grulla/duns. We are on our 2nd CoD mare (by pure luck I think..haha)...and have lines going back to all 5 CoD appy mares.

I breed appys on 22219 and my goal is to have a whole ranch of yummy grulla color horses with various patterns. I breed for both rodeo and western horses with cow sense. I do have some dm pure horses but I mainly breed appy x ls appaloosas. My stallions always have semen available unless they become gelded and each mare has a note on their page on whether or not they are for brood. I'm one point away from my first Grand Champion appaloosa and my program has really came far since I started and that's because of some wonderful appaloosa breeders. *huggles all*

Ha I would be the DM in the DM Pure so we kinda have an idea what I breed. I breed Appy X Appy only. There is no crossbreeding or LS in my Appaloosa's. My Appies are with my racing Colorado rangerbred horses that I am using the steady line of high speed on them. I am currently one of the few people that holds a five CoD lined Pure Appaloosa Mare. One of my goals. I am trying to refine the lines a bit more so that I can move up the Champion board.
Sorry guys meant to post sooner but I forgot...been busy
